Prague is preparing for a major upgrade of its public transport information systems, aiming to significantly improve passenger orientation across the city. As part of a project by Prague Public Transit Company (DPP), new intelligent departure panels and totems will be installed at selected locations – and Bustec has become a key supplier of these crucial technologies.
Bustec is actively contributing to the delivery of modern LED panels that will provide passengers with real-time departure information. These panels are designed to display data directly from DPP’s Central Dispatch Center, ensuring maximum accuracy and up-to-date service information. Passengers will be able to rely on precise updates regarding delays, service disruptions, or schedule changes.
The modernization project also includes the installation of outdoor totems, also supplied by Bustec. These devices offer a broader range of information than standard departure panels. Thanks to their larger display area, they can present not only upcoming departures but also detailed local maps, nearby points of interest, current transport news, and other useful content for both residents and tourists. The design and functionality of these totems focus on optimal readability and high weather resistance, ensuring reliable operation in the busy streets of Prague.
