The BT937 is the central on-board computer for buses and trams, unifying control of LED exterior and interior displays, TFT monitors, announcement units, ticket printers, ticket validators, counting modules, security modules, and third-party systems from one interface. Its color touch display, with adjustable brightness and contrast, offers intuitive navigation and reduces driver workload. Acting as the vehicle’s data-bus hub, it monitors, supervises, and updates real-time information flows. The system supports seamless software and timetable updates via USB or network, and combines Renesas SH-4 processing, ample memory, and modular interfaces to meet the most demanding passenger information requirements and integration scenarios.
The BT937 is built around an ARM Cortex processor with 512 MB of data memory and runs Linux, featuring 7″ or 8″ full-graphic LCD touch displays and a front USB interface for data updates. Standard connectivity includes IBIS, dual RS232, Ethernet, USB GPS, GSM/GPRS, and WLAN. Drawing approximately 1.5 A at 24 V DC, its aluminum housing meets Bus EMC Directive 2009/28/EC and Railway EMC Directive EN 50155, ensuring reliable performance in demanding transport environments.
